But, Windows 8.1 will suck less than Windows 8. At that point, Windows 8 will suck for PCs, like it does for phones right now. But it really is a matter of time before Intel drops support for Windows 8 and the driver completely. So, the driver is pretty much the same as the one for Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, but it'll run Windows 8.1 just fine. Intel dropped support for Windows 8 on GMA drivers, and forced everyone to upgrade to Windows 8.1 to get an updated driver. In all the confusion I found out that they have, however, dropped support for Windows 7 on Intel GMA chips, so I guess this is the price they are willing to pay to get the older chips out of the hands of those who use them. It's not the 3150, because there's no separate driver for that. I have installed the driver for my x2 (it's version 7.0.3.14) and it works fine. Oh, and by the way, I have an x2 5600 GT and a GMA 3150. There are plenty of ways to create a driver for Windows 8, and Intel has clearly opted for one that doesn't work for older Windows versions. My take on this is that it's a manufacturing/driver bug. Intel Gma 3100 Graphics Driver Free BEST Download
